Work History
Canyonstone, Inc. (1997-Present) I am the founder of this multimedia company whose original purpose was the design and production of a web and print catalog for pet owners and their lifestyle. We did all production for this project including layout, photography and fulfillment. From our new found knowledge of web design, our company now does web sites for others.
Jack Morton Productions (1995-1997) Responsible for creative development and sales of multimedia projects. Our primary focus was video and film. We worked almost exclusively with freelance producers, videographers, photographers and editors. I was responsible for 3 large clients that included Coca-Cola, Lanier Worldwide and Scientific-Atlanta. My last project was the US Bottlers meeting for Coca-Cola. We wrote original music, created an on-stage live show with 16 singers and dancers with support of thousands of photos and 14 videos. I took a video team to Mexico for a week to shoot three videos for this meeting. I also worked on many large meetings for our clients which always included video or multimedia support. I was filmed in documentary style videos or clips that highlighted communication possibilities to our customers.
Dale Carnegie Training (1993-Present) I worked full-time for this training organization from 1993 -1996 selling, designing and delivering communication training. I taught communication classes that focused on Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Leadership, Problem-Solving and Sales Training. I used on camera training to build my personal communication skills through a format called High Impact Presentations. The on camera work gave me a chance to see my own skills through the eyes of others and helped me to polish my presentations. I am currently a certified trainer and coach for Dale Carnegie, though I do not often have the time to teach.
University of Georgia (1990-1992) I taught undergraduate public speaking for two years while working on my Masters of Speech Communication. This consisted of teaching one daily class each quarter. This environment is where I became confident of speaking in front of cameras and audiences.
University of Georgia (1985-1990) Undergraduate degrees in Speech Communication and Spanish. I was also an exchange student in Seville, Spain for 7 months. I speak Spanish.
TRC Temporary Services (1985-1992) I worked every summer and Christmas break to pay for many of my college expenses.
